Human Identification Method: SCLERA RECOGNITION
نویسندگان
چکیده
The structure of blood vessels in the sclerathe white part of the human eye, is unique for every individual, hence it is best suited for human identification. However, this is a challenging research because it has a high insult rate (the number of occasions the valid user is rejected). In this survey firstly a brief introduction is presented about the sclera based biometric authentication. In addition, a literature survey is presented. We have proposed simplified method for sclera segmentation, a new method for sclera pattern enhancement based on histogram equalization and line descriptor based feature extraction and pattern matching with the help of matching score between the two segment descriptors. We attempt to increase the awareness about this topic, as much of the research is not done in this area.

Biometrics is mainly used in security systems and can reduce or eliminate the need to retain a key or to eliminate a password and can speed up user throughput being less intrusive. First, it detects the person‟s original identity with certainty while still honoring their civil and personal rights. Sclera recognition has many advantages compare to other methods. Face recognition is the natural w...
متن کاملA New Multimodel Approach for Human Authentication: Sclera Vein and Finger Vein Recognition
The vein structure is stable over time and can be manipulated for identifying human. The sclera portion of the human eye has blood vessel pattern which is unique for each human being. So, the sclera vein pattern can be used for a useful biometric feature. A few research works has been done over finger vein pattern recognition. Finger vein is an important biometric technique for personal identif...
متن کاملA Review on Sclera Vein Recognition
The vein structure in the sclera, the white and opaque outer protective covering of the eye, is anecdotally stable over time and unique to each person. As a result, it is well suited for use as a biometric for human identification. Sclera recognition poses several challenges: the vein structure moves and deforms with the movement of the eye and its surrounding tissues; images of sclera patterns...

Iris recognition is an invasive biometric technique used to identify human being. Iris is defined as annular region between pupil and sclera of human eye which exhibits extraordinary texture that is unique for each individual. Hence, imposes various challenges in accurate iris segmentation and feature extraction techniques to provide many opportunities for researchers in pursuing their research...
